Chicory Wealth Joins ASBC-SVC
At Chicory Wealth we try not to just talk about our goals of “promoting socially just relationships, sustainable economic development, and a healthy eco-system,” as stated in our mission statement. We are always striving to “walk the walk.”
So, when we learned about the objectives of ASBC-SVC, the American Sustainable Business Council and Social Venture Circle, it was an easy decision to join this network of mission-driven businesses and leaders.
The American Sustainable Business Council is a nationwide business advocate for an environmentally safe and equitable economy, and Social Venture Circle is a national social impact networking organization. In the fall of 2020, they formed a strategic alliance to strengthen both, creating the United States’ leading socially responsible business group representing thousands of businesses and business leaders in a common cause.
In meeting with representatives from both groups, we learned that connecting with them would mean more than just networking with other similar businesses, as important as that is. These organizations are active on local, state, and national levels to promote policies for a prosperous and sustainable economy. They offer multiple opportunities for us and the public to take action, and they host working groups on such issues as race and equity, climate and energy, circular economy, regenerative agriculture, and more. We liked their long-term, lofty goals and their on-the-ground strategies for getting there.

We believe the business community can and should play an integral part in creating that future.”
