I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner (CFP®) with degrees in Finance, Information Systems, and Organizational Leadership. I was formerly a Financial Analyst at Siemens Industry Inc., working in various accounting and finance roles covering electrical engineering, healthcare, and infrastructure applications. From day one, I loved seeing how prudent financial management could lead to better outcomes, but I started to realize that I would find more fulfillment working with people directly. Organizing money to help people ‘level up’ in the story of their lives was the innovation I was seeking. I got that opportunity in 2015, when I became a financial planner at Maggie Kulyk and Associates (now Chicory Wealth, since 2018).
At Chicory Wealth, I meet with clients to get a true understanding of where they are in life and where they want to be; constructing, analyzing, and maintaining financial plans to help people realize the full potential of their resources. I believe the biggest sources of financial stress and missed opportunity are fear of the unknown and uncertainty about the future:
- Am I making the right decisions with my resources relative to the options that are out there?
- How might life and/or the world around me change and influence me financially?
I take pride in making sure my clients understand how each decision fits into a healthy and attainable big-picture view in the complex financial world in which we live. I am committed to that goal. I also cherish the work Chicory does alongside our clients to work toward a society that is more just, sustainable, and prosperous. These two goals are intertwined and inseparable.
I live in Avondale Estates, GA, with my wife, Lauren, our two sons, Cameron and Drew, and our rescue doggy, Max. For me, a balanced life includes walking to neighborhood breweries, watching real estate shows on TV, curating my shoe collection, following financial markets in depth, and not feeling guilty occasionally ordering fries with that. Additionally, I serve on the board of a privately held industrial company, advise several small businesses, prioritize global travel, and love playing and watching soccer.
