I have been working in the area of finance for more than 30 years. The first 25 years of my career were in the areas of real estate investments, financial accounting and analysis (both private and non-profit), and U.S. income tax. In 2012, I received a Certificate in Financial Planning for completing the Executive Program in Financial Planning from the Terry College of Business at UGA, and I’m a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. My past positions include executive vice president and CFO for Novare Group, a private real estate investment firm; vice president for The Westminster Group, a real estate brokerage firm; tax manager for Price Waterhouse, a public accounting firm; partner at Shaltis & Carll, a small CPA firm; and consultant for various clients. I’m a licensed CPA and have a BS in accounting with a computer science minor from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Va. Tech). I’ve worked as a financial advisor with Maggie Kulyk and Associates, now Chicory Wealth, since 2013, and I am a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
Before moving to Atlanta in 1994, I lived overseas in the Netherlands for two years where I ran the U.S tax office for Price Waterhouse. I now live in Candler Park with my husband and son in a house we endlessly continue to renovate. We are also the proud owners of a vintage Airstream that now resides at Lake Hartwell.
For me, a balanced life includes camping, hiking, travel, historic architecture, antiques, and collectibles.
