A Conversation with Maggie Kulyk
and guest Tamara Jones of Clean Energy Works
Thursday, November 18, 2021, 12:30 pm ET / 9:30 am PT
On the path to becoming carbon negative by 2050, all 130 million single- and multi-family U.S. homes will need to be fossil free. Yet the high upfront costs present an insurmountable barrier to wide scale adoption of clean energy solutions. Tamara Jones is the Managing Director of Clean Energy Works, a nonprofit organization that is leading the way in the development and adoption of inclusive utility investment strategies that overcome this problem. Clean Energy Works promotes competitive, market-based approaches that provide access to clean energy solutions for all, regardless of demographic identity, income levels, or property ownership status. They connect champions of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and economic inclusion with resources to accelerate investment in clean energy solutions such as electric buses, solar panels, and building energy efficiency upgrades.

DOCUMENTARY FILM INVESTMENT AS ACTIVISM
A conversation with Julie Parker Benello, Film Producer and Co-Founder of Chicken & Egg Pictures, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, 4pm ET / 1pm PT, Online
In partnership with Chicken & Egg Pictures, we are thrilled to present a conversation with acclaimed documentary producer Julie Parker Benello. Julie has produced and executive-produced such change-making, award-winning films as American Factory (Academy Award-winner for Best Documentary), Athlete A (Critics Choice Documentary Award-winner for Best Documentary), and Emmy-nominee United Skates. Julie will be speaking about her involvement in these projects and what it means to fund and produce social-issue documentary films. Julie is also a Co-Founder of Chicken & Egg Pictures, a nonprofit partner of Chicory Wealth that supports women and gender nonconforming filmmakers whose artful documentaries catalyze social change. This is a special opportunity for anyone who is interested in funding or producing documentary films or who just wants to learn more about the process. We hope you will join us!
