Overview:

Chicory Wealth is a private wealth advisory practice. We provide financial life planning and socially conscious investing services to progressive values-aligned individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations, helping them to “integrate money and meaning” throughout every stage of life.

This fully-remote role is an apprenticeship designed to help you grow into a skilled and values aligned financial planner. You’ll work closely alongside an experienced advisor while you participate in client meetings, support meeting preparation and follow‑up work, and learn what it means to serve clients the Chicory Wealth way. This position has a starting salary of $70,000, with the potential to advance quickly.

What to expect in this role:

• During your time as an associate, you’ll learn not only the technical foundations of financial planning from our team of experienced advisors, but also the distinctive ways Chicory approaches this profession through an ethical and socially responsible lens.
• You will work daily in Practifi (our CRM), eMoney (our financial planning software), Orion, Box, G Suite, Google Meet, and other tools. Comfort with change and new technology is essential.
• You will work directly with advisors on your team, partner with them in preparing for client meetings and creating seamless experiences for clients, participate in those meetings, and be responsible for completing all follow‑up work accurately and on time.
• Our associates are taught to work with clients and prospects in a caring, supportive, and values‑aligned manner. You’ll be trained in our Integrating Money and Meaning process, which brings together a client’s values and heart goals with their financial life.
• Our associates are the “air traffic controllers” of client processes—you won’t be expected to know how to do every task on day one, but you will be responsible for ensuring that everything moves forward and is completed on time.

What makes you a great fit:

• The ideal candidate has already passed the CFP® exam, though we will also consider candidates who are actively working toward it. Candidates who have not yet earned the CFP® designation will need a Series 65 license or be ready to sit for the exam.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. You’ll collaborate closely with lead advisors and engage with clients in a clear, caring, and professional manner.
• Intellectual and emotional curiosity. You should genuinely enjoy listening to the details of a client’s life and be engaged in understanding their story, their values, and what matters most to them.
