Eric Benzel-Ward

I joined the Chicory Wealth team in 2025 after a 15 year career as a math teacher, teacher-coach, and district leader. I’m passionate about using financial planning to support people in achieving their life’s dreams while making a positive impact in our communities and in our world. Most recently, I served as a Vice President at a large non-profit education organization in Denver, CO; I’ve always been drawn to mission and values driven organizations – that is a big part of why I joined Chicory Wealth.

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Masters of Arts in Mathematics Education from Columbia University. I am a registered Investment Advisor Representative, and I am a candidate for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification. Curiosity is a core value of mine, and I am always seeking to expand my knowledge and skill sets to better serve our clients.

For me, a balanced life includes meaningful work, spending time outdoors, learning new hobbies, and exploring new places around the world. I live outside of Boulder, CO, with my husband, our two sons, and our grumpy Wheaten Terrier.
