Chicory Wealth in 2023 “By the Numbers”

2023 was a good year for Chicory Wealth in numerous ways, including adding two new Associate Advisors and many new clients. But we also recognize the urgent need to address the suffering and potential for further devastation found in our communities close to home and around the world. We continue to do our best to follow our mission: “Aspiring to a more just and sustainable world by helping our clients integrate money and meaning.”

• Party and Fundraising for Chicory Giving Group in October, raising $18,920
  • $10,400 for Conservation Fisheries, Inc.
  • $8,520 to Ahimsa House

• Posted a statement on the war in Ukraine.
• Commented with the EPA in support of stricter soot pollution regulations.
• Signed onto an American Sustainable Business Network statement that climate change and other sustainability threats are material risks that should be considered in corporate and investor decision-making.
• Joined investors and companies in urging state and federal policymakers to protect the freedom to invest responsibly; #FreedomToInvest.
• Signed a Business for Democracy petition in support of Ranked Choice Voting.
• Signed onto Green America’s letter in support of the Clean Energy Victory Bonds Act.
• Continued our connection with Don’t Ban Equality, a coalition of businesses supporting access to comprehensive reproductive healthcare.
• Continued our partnership with Clearloop to offset our business carbon footprint by helping support their Panola County, Mississippi solar project.

1 NEW CHICORY BABY:

• Chicory Wealth Financial Advisor Jacob Newcomer and his wife Lauren welcomed their second son, Drew Edward Newcomer, on December 21, 2023.
